Beautiful baby Bearded Dragons need new homes. They are very friendly reptiles and do not bite. They have no tail or toe nips. They are about 8 weeks old. They’re eating crickets, turnip greens, romaine lettuce, and mustard greens. They have been given minerals and vitamins and have had a UVB 10.0 light and get natural sunlight every day. Their father is a Rainbow Tiger morph (in last picture) and the mother is a Citrus Tiger x Red/Gold morph.

Lucy was a shelter dog who had a rough start in life and has a few scars to show for it. She was abandoned by her former owner and found by the Hillsborough County Animal Services. She was later picked up by the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. She is a dachshund mix. (Not sure what she’s mixed with. Any guesses?)
We had been looking online and at local classified ads for a dachshund. We found out about a Humane Society event and decided to check it out. When we got there, they only had a few dogs and none of them were dachshunds. My husband was ready to get back into the car, but I insisted we at least take a look at one dog. He said, “it’s not a dachshund.” I told him it doesn’t hurt to look and convinced him to just spend some time with her. After only a few minutes, he said, “I want her,” and a few minutes later Lucy was coming home with us.
We made our first mistake with her the second we got her home. We should have taken her on a walk before bringing her into our home. This mistake quickly resulted in an accident on our carpet at which point both my husband and I looked at each other with concern in our eyes. We were both thinking, “What did we get ourselves into?” (Note: always bring a new dog or puppy on a walk before bringing them into your house. It will help calm them down and be less stressful for your new pet). This was one of the only accidents with Lucy, because she was very easy to train. Lucy’s sweet temperament and loving nature has been a great addition to our family. We couldn’t have asked of a more perfect dog for us. We got exactly the dog we needed, and we would have never found her if we were not willing to just take a look and give her a chance.
If you’re looking for a new pet, please check out your local humane society, shelters, and rescue organizations. You might just find your perfect pet and feel great about saving a life.
